Bolton Wanderers could be under new ownership by the end of next week, after it emerged six parties have submitted bids to the club's administrators.

Since being appointed on May 13, David Rubin & Partners have undertaken a thorough examination of financial accounts at the University of Bolton Stadium.

On May 22, Paul Appleton, joint administrator, revealed more than 30 parties had made an approach for information, prompting him to impose a deadline of June 7 for interested bidders to come up with the necessary paperwork - including satisfaction of the EFL's Owners' and Directors' Test.

In order to access club accounts, a non-refundable charge of £25,000 was put in place, with only representatives of the successful new ownership in a position to have that total returned.

With the aforementioned deadline now expired, it is understood administrators will spend the forthcoming week analysing each bid in detail before making a decision on which will take ultimate control of the club, which had been valued by Hilco Global at £25million.
