Pawel Olkowski has wished Bolton and their supporters luck for the future, with his time at the club seemingly at an end.

Olkowski, who made 39 appearances during his debut campaign with Wanderers, served the Trotters with a notice of his resignation in April, allowing him to terminate his contract after wages for the month of March went unpaid for a period in excess of 14 days.

The 29-year-old's departure has yet to be officially confirmed, but a message posted on social media appeared to indicate he would be lining up elsewhere at the start of next season.

"I would want to thank the fans, the manager, my teammates and all staff at the club for their help and support," Olkowski said.

"This year has not been good for anyone at the club but I hope that Bolton will be great again and that happiness will come back.

"Players, coaches and owners come and go but true fans are always there and they make the club really.

"Best of luck for the future to all the Wanderers!"
