Laurence Bassini says he will meet with administrators on Friday, where he will make a fresh offer to purchase Bolton Wanderers.

Four weeks have passed since a statement was released stating Wanderers were to become 'debt free' for the first time in years, after Bassini struck a deal with outgoing owner Ken Anderson to take control of his 94.5% shareholding in the club.

The two would then become involved in a public spat, with the agreement going on to collapse and the Trotters ultimately being placed into administration by the family of the late Eddie Davies.

It was thought Bassini would walk away, but he claims he will return before the week is out.

"I didn't want to do it after administration," Bassini told Sky Sports.

"I wanted to prevent the damage that has caused, however it wasn't possible and not of my making.

"I will be speaking with the people at the club on Friday and they will have my offer."
