2018/19 Burnden Aces Player of the Year - Gary O'Neil

Gary O'Neil has been voted as Bolton Wanderers' 2018/19 Player of the Year, by Burnden Aces readers.

O'Neil, who joined Wanderers on the eve of the campaign following his release by Bristol City, made 31 appearances during his debut season at the University of Bolton Stadium, winning over supporters with a series of committed displays that the 35-year-old has earned a reputation for throughout a 19-year career.

Since polls were opened on March 31, more than 1,000 people made their selection, with O'Neil taking the honour with 34.6% of the vote.

David Wheater, winner of the vote two years ago, finished as runner-up with 19.4% of the vote, while Pawel Olkowski (18.9%) was just behind in third.
