Eidur Gudjohnsen hopes Bolton can find a positive resolution to their ownership issues, saying people at the club don't deserve the current uncertainty.

Gudjohnsen, who scored 33 goals across two separate spells with Wanderers, believes the club has been run 'very badly' over a number of years.

"It's a sad situation," Gudjohnsen told talkSPORT. "The club has obviously been run very badly.

"It's a shame because it's a wonderful place. I've got fantastic memories there.

"The fans and the people around there don't deserve what's going on at this moment.

"I do hope the situation will be resolved as quickly as possible."
