Ken Anderson has refuted claims from Gaspard Holdings Ltd, which suggested they were on the brink of a takeover at Bolton.

A spokesperson for Gaspard Holdings, who list Naeema Khilji as a sole director, went public on Tuesday with a stunning revelation that terms had been agreed and they were within 48 hours of taking control at the University of Bolton Stadium.

Anderson, who was speaking after the club had been granted a five-week adjournment over a winding up petition issued by HM Revenue & Customs, strongly denied these claims, however, saying the Khilji family have 'wasted a great deal of everyone's time' for over two years.

"I would like to make it absolutely clear that the so-called mystery buyer Gaspard Holdings are 'not on the verge of completing a deal' and virtually everything else they said in the report was total nonsense," Anderson told

"Unfortunately, they have been making similar promises for at least two years and in all that time the people concerned have never been able to provide any satisfactory proof of funds and have wasted a great deal of everyone's time."
