Jason Lowe will miss Bolton's upcoming games against Swansea City and Millwall after being hit with a two-match suspension by The Football Association.

Lowe, who was booked in Wanderers' defeat at Leeds United on Saturday, has accumulated 10 yellow cards this season and has been handed a mandatory ban as a result.

The EFL amnesty date is due to take effect after the Trotters' home clash with Sheffield Wednesday on March 12 - three games away - meaning only Craig Noone and Josh Magennis are in danger of following in Lowe's footsteps.

The regulatory one-match suspension given to players who collect five cautions during a campaign brought to a halt after 19 Championship games - which dates back to the end of November.
