HMRC File Winding-Up Petition Against Bolton Wanderers

Bolton Wanderers have been issued with yet another winding-up petition from HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC).

The petition, which was filed on February 4, is the third to be served against the club already in 2019 - and second to be issued by HMRC.

Wanderers, whose owner Ken Anderson is understood to be in advanced talks over a potential sale of the club, have battled numerous petitions from HMRC in recent years, with the majority of cases dismissed following the successful payment of PAYE and VAT invoices.

A date for a hearing at the High Court remains unknown at this stage.
