Andrew Madley will referee Saturday's Sky Bet Championship fixture between Bolton and Preston North End at the University of Bolton Stadium.

Wanderers go into the game on the back of a 2-0 defeat at Sheffield United last Saturday, while the Lilywhites were held to a goalless draw by Derby County at Deepdale the previous evening.

Madley, who will take charge of the game, has officiated 25 matches so far this season - issuing 61 yellow cards and one red.

His most recent outing was on February 2, when he was the man in the middle for Millwall's 0-0 draw with Rotherham United in the Championship. The West Yorkshire official brandished four yellow cards at The Den, all of which went to members of the visiting side.

Madley's last match in charge of Bolton was in August 2018, when they were beaten 3-0 by Sheffield United in a Championship clash at the University of Bolton Stadium. Three players were cautioned that afternoon, including Wanderers duo Josh Vela and Will Buckley.

The last time he refereed a Preston fixture was on January 19, as they ran out 4-1 winners over Queens Park Rangers in a Championship encounter at Loftus Road. Five players entered the book that afternoon, including North End's Darnell Fisher and Sean Maguire.
