Scott Duncan will referee Tuesday's Sky Bet Championship fixture between Bolton and Reading at the University of Bolton Stadium.

Wanderers go into the game on the back of a 2-1 defeat at Bristol City in the FA Cup on Friday night, while the Royals haven't been in action since losing by the same scoreline at Derby County on January 19.

Duncan, who will take charge of the game, has officiated 21 matches so far this season - issuing 72 yellow cards and seven red.

His most recent outing was on January 5, when he was the man in the middle for Burton Albion's 4-0 victory at Rochdale in League One. The Northumberland official produced brandished four yellow cards at the Crown Oil Arena, three of which went to members of the losing home side.

Duncan's last match in charge of Bolton was in December 2018, when they were beaten 3-2 by Norwich City in a Championship clash at Carrow Road. Three players were cautioned that afternoon, while Wanderers midfielder Sammy Ameobi was dismissed in stoppage time for a second bookable offence.

The last time he refereed a Reading fixture was in March 2018, as they were held to a 2-2 draw by Leeds United in a Championship encounter at the Madejski Stadium. Three players entered the book that day, including Royals duo George Evans and Liam Kelly.
