Ken Anderson has made an extraordinary u-turn on his stance with Dale Vince, releasing a statement in which he heavily criticises the operations of the Forest Green Rovers chief.

On Monday evening, Anderson released a statement which, in part, read: "I will not drop to the levels that he did in his various allegations to the press as I believe it will serve no practical purpose."

However, the Wanderers chairman has since had a change of heart by suggesting Vince, amongst other things, is 'one of the strangest people' he has ever been involved with in the game of football.

Posting to bwfc.co.uk on Wednesday afternoon, Anderson said: "I can only say that during my several telephone discussions with him, I have found him to probably be one of the strangest people that I have ever come across in football - and in my 20 plus years in the game, I have met hundreds of players, managers, directors and club owners, so that's saying something!

"Everything else he has said is totally irrelevant as far as l am concerned and l won't lower myself to respond to his disrespectful and misleading comments."

With Wanderers not in action on January 19th, Vince has invited Wanderers supporters to take in Forest Green's game against Bury at The New Lawn, with visiting fans being offered a free pint of beer as well as the opportunity to purchase a t-shirt with the slogan 'No Ken Do' - with profits being donated to the Bolton Wanderers Supporters' Trust.

Anderson admitted to being amused by Vince's move, whilst admitting he is considering a rival t-shirt with the phrase 'Yes We Ken', with proceeds being donated to non-redundant employee of Vince's renewable energy firm Ecotricity.

Adding to his earlier words, Anderson said: "I have to say that I found the t-shirts FGR are selling quite humorous and I'm sure the Supporters' Trust will greatly receive the funds they generate.

"We are thinking about printing our own which will say, 'Yes We Ken' and we will donate all proceeds to those employees of Ecotricity who were made redundant.

"I can only imagine it's his way of getting his 15 minutes of fame and as much free publicity as possible.

"He's probably achieved more air time and press coverage over the last few days than ever before. Good luck with that and well done."
