Keith Stroud will referee Saturday's Sky Bet Championship fixture between Bolton and Stoke City at the University of Bolton Stadium.

Wanderers go into the game on the back of a 2-1 victory at home to Rotherham United on Boxing Day, while the Potters were beaten 2-0 at Birmingham City that same afternoon.

Stroud, who will take charge of the game, has officiated 12 matches so far this season - issuing 38 yellow cards and no red.

His most recent outing was on December 26, when he was the man in the middle for Queens Park Rangers' 3-0 victory over Ipswich Town in the Championship. The Hampshire official brandished three yellow cards at Loftus Road, two of which went to members of the losing visitors.

Stroud's last match in charge of Bolton was on April 21, when they were beaten 4-0 by Wolverhampton Wanderers in a Championship clash at Macron Stadium. Two players were cautioned that day, including Trotters defender David Wheater.

The last time he refereed a Stoke fixture was in January 2016, as they progressed into the fourth round of the FA Cup with a 2-1 victory over Doncaster Rovers at the Keepmoat Stadium. Five players entered the book that day, including City trio Philipp Wollscheid, Marco van Ginkel and Jonathan Walters.
