James Linington will referee Saturday's Sky Bet Championship fixture between Brentford and Bolton at Griffin Park.

Wanderers go into the game on the back of a 1-0 defeat at home to Leeds United last Saturday, while the Bees were beaten 2-0 at Hull City that same afternoon.

Linington, who will take charge of the game, has officiated 15 matches so far this season - issuing 44 yellow cards and no red.

His most recent outing was on December 8, when he was the man in the middle for Sheffield United's 2-0 victory over Reading in the Championship. The Newport official produced two yellow cards at the Madejski Stadium, with each side receiving one apiece.

Linington's last match in charge of Bolton was on August 18, when they were 1-0 winners over Reading in a Championship clash at the Madejski. Three players were cautioned that afternoon, including Wanderers defender David Wheater.

The last time he refereed a Brentford fixture was on November 10, as they were beaten 3-2 by Queens Park Rangers in a Championship encounter at Loftus Road. Three players entered the book that day, including Bees midfielder Romaine Sawyers.
