Off-field issues have made life difficult at Bolton this past week, and things won't be any easier on the pitch when they travel to table-topping Norwich City on Saturday.

Wanderers, who have gone 10 games without victory - a run dating back to September - are embroiled in yet another financial crisis, with players still awaiting payment of November salaries they had been promised by Thursday.

Phil Parkinson's side travelled to Norfolk on Friday afternoon, stopping off for a training session along the way, and the Trotters boss has selection problems ahead of kick-off at Carrow Road.

Will Buckley, Craig Noone and Sammy Ameobi were all included as Bolton drew at home with Wigan Athletic last time out, but two of those will be checked after picking up minor problems.

Buckley, who was on target against the Latics, was forced off in the second period after complaining of a tightness in his groin, while Ameobi began to fatigue after three games in a week upon his return from injury.

Christian Doidge was the preferred option in attack, although both Clayton Donaldson and the fit-again Josh Magennis are on standby to start, while potential absentees in midfield could open the door for the likes of Josh Vela, Erhun Oztumer and Gary O'Neil to return.

On-loan Yanic Wildschut is ineligible to feature against his parent club, as is backup goalkeeper Remi Matthews - meaning Ben Williams is likely to be amongst the substitutes.

Under-23 regular Harry Brockbank also drops out of contention, having joined non-league Salford City on loan last weekend.

Bolton Wanderers: from: Alnwick, B Williams, Little, Taylor, Beevers, Hobbs, Olkowski, Wilson, Grounds, Wheater, Lowe, Vela, Oztumer, Ameobi, Buckley, Noone, Murphy, O'Neil, J Williams, Dyer, Donaldson, Doidge, Magennis
