Simon Hooper will referee Saturday's Sky Bet Championship fixture between Bolton and Wigan Athletic at the University of Bolton Stadium.

Wanderers go into the game on the back of a 1-0 defeat at Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday, while the Latics were 3-1 winners at home to Blackburn Rovers the following evening.

Hooper, who will take charge of the game, has officiated 12 matches so far this season - issuing 38 yellow cards and two red.

His most recent outing was on November 28, when he was the man in the middle for Aston Villa's remarkable 5-5 draw with Nottingham Forest in the Championship. The Wiltshire official produced six yellow cards at Villa Park, as well as a straight-red card for visiting defender Tobias Figueiredo.

Hooper's last match in charge of Bolton was in November 2017, when they held Preston North End to a goalless draw in a Championship clash at Deepdale. Five players were cautioned that evening, including Wanderers trio Mark Beevers, Sammy Ameobi and Karl Henry.

The last time he refereed a Wigan fixture was in April 2017, as they came from two-down to register a 3-2 victory over Barnsley in a Championship encounter at the DW Stadium. Seven players entered the book that night, including Latics' Dan Burn, Shaun MacDonald and Jamie Hanson.

Below is the full set of officials for Saturday's game between Bolton and Wigan Athletic:
