Connor Hall netted his first senior goals on Tuesday, as Accrington Stanley lost 3-2 at Blackpool in the Checkatrade Trophy.

Hall, who is on loan at Stanley until January, is due to return to Bolton in the New Year where he will add competition to a faltering strike force which has found the net just twice in the past 10 games.

The 20-year-old has made 10 appearances during his time with the League One outfit, with all seven of his league outings coming from the substitutes' bench, but he hopes to raise his game in the closing weeks of his stay at the Crown Ground, ahead of pushing for a first-team place with Wanderers upon his return to the University of Bolton Stadium.

"I'm really enjoying it," Hall told bwfc.co.uk. "It's a great club.

"Playing in League One every week is good. I'm getting on (as a substitute) in most league games which is all good experience for me.

"Hopefully I can kick on, get some more minutes, a couple of starts and some goals.

"Then I'll either come back in January to Bolton and do well, or stay at Accrington depending on how well I do between now and then - gaining some valuable experience and bringing it back to Bolton."
