Pawel Olkowski missed out on Bolton's defeat to Nottingham Forest through illness, but should be back in contention for their weekend clash with Hull City.

Despite being named on the original team sheet, Olkowski was replaced by Mark Little ahead of kick-off at the University of Bolton Stadium, with the Poland international dropping out of the squad completely.

Speaking after the game, Wanderers boss Phil Parkinson revealed the 28-year-old had been forced to miss training on Tuesday and felt unwell after initially being cleared to feature.

"Pawel had a bit of a stomach bug and we thought he was okay," Parkinson told bwfc.co.uk.

"He came in, we named the team and then he took a turn for the worst and was unable to start.

"I thought Mark Little came in and did well because that was a big ask of him.

"He and Andy Taylor came in and gave their all."
