Andy Davies will referee Wednesday's Sky Bet Championship fixture between Bolton and Nottingham Forest at the University of Bolton Stadium.

Wanderers go into the game on the back of a 1-1 draw at Rotherham United on Saturday, while Forest suffered a 2-1 home defeat at the hands of Norwich City that same afternoon.

Davies, who will take charge of the game, has officiated 11 matches so far this season - issuing 41 yellow cards and one red.

His most recent outing was on October 7, when he was the man in the middle for Sheffield Wednesday's 2-1 victory at Bristol City in the Championship. The Hampshire official produced six yellow cards at Ashton Gate - five of which went to members of the visiting side.

Davies' last match in charge of Bolton was on September 1, when they held Preston North End to a 2-2 draw in a Championship clash at Deepdale. Four players were cautioned that afternoon, while Lilywhites midfielder Ben Pearson was sent off after the final whistle.

The last time he refereed a Forest fixture was on April 10, as they were beaten 1-0 by Brentford in a Championship encounter at the City Ground. Two players entered the book that evening - Forest duo Tendayi Darikwa and Adlene Guedioura.
