Bolton will be without Sammy Ameobi for up to six weeks after he injured ankle ligaments in Saturday's defeat to Queens Park Rangers.

Ameobi, who has made five appearances for Wanderers so far this season, limped off just 35 minutes into the clash at the University of Bolton Stadium after failing to respond to treatment whilst on the pitch.

The 26-year-old was replaced by Yanic Wildschut who, alongside Will Buckley and Craig Noone, will be expected to plug the gap during his absence - which could stretch into November.
