Bolton Wanderers have settled a dispute with catering company Heathcote & Co, days before a winding-up petition was due to be heard against the club.

Paul Heathcote and Wanderers chairman Ken Anderson have been involved a public war of words in recent months, with both parties alleging foul play under the terms of contractual agreements and unpaid bills.

The spat appeared to have come to a head in August when Anderson challenged the motives of Heathcote, whilst urging supporters to avoid the businesses of somebody who claimed to have been a 'lifelong supporter of the club'.

At the end of a week where an outstanding debt to BluMarble has been settled, alongside the untimely death of former owner Eddie Davies, Anderson and Heathcote have settled their differences out of court and will continue to provide hospitality services on matchdays at the University of Bolton Stadium.

A statement, posted at bwfc.co.uk, read: "Bolton Whites Hotel and SCC (Heathcote & Co) are pleased to confirm that they have reached an amicable conclusion with their ongoing negotiations.

"Both parties now look forward to continue providing a world-class catering and hospitality service for our valued clientele at the University of Bolton Stadium."
