Bolton forward Josh Magennis is facing a fortnight on the sidelines after picking up a calf strain whilst on international duty with Northern Ireland.

Magennis, a summer signing from Charlton Athletic, has been in outstanding form since arriving at the University of Bolton Stadium - scoring three goals in seven appearances - which had seen him earn a recall to his national side.

The 28-year-old had looked set to feature in Northern Ireland's UEFA Nations League defeat to Bosnia-Herzegovina on Saturday but will now return to Wanderers for assessment.
