Bolton boss Phil Parkinson has been left impressed with Pawel Olkowski, crediting the full-back for how quickly he has settled into English football.

Olkowski joined Wanderers on a free transfer in July, after his contract at FC Koln came to an end following four years with the German side.

The 28-year-old has hit the ground running at the University of Bolton Stadium and is a popular figure amongst supporters, something Parkinson puts down to the attitude of the Poland international.

"Pawel has been great," Parkinson told BWFC's official YouTube channel.

"To adapt to English football so quickly is every credit to him and I was really pleased with his performance.

"He's got a big heart and he's a terrific lad.

"When your full-backs are getting goals, it certainly bodes well."
