Jason Lowe admits the mood is good in the Bolton camp, but says players will not get carried away by the club's start to the new season.

Saturday's 1-0 victory at Reading saw Wanderers record back-to-back successes on the road at Championship level for the first time since April 2014, as well as surpassing the number of wins they had managed away from home in their previous two campaigns at this level combined.

Speaking after the game, Lowe was of the opinion that now is a time to keep feet on the ground, focusing on taking three points against his former club Birmingham City on Wednesday rather than admiring the early league table.

"The lads are in good spirits," Lowe told bwfc.co.uk. "We've had a good togetherness in pre-season and we've started magnificently well.

"It's as good a start as I've had. It breeds confidence and momentum.

"It's been a great start but not one we're going to take for granted. When you start well you can get a bit complacent but the group is fantastic. We'll keep our feet on the ground and keep working towards winning every week.

"We have got a great group of lads and staff all pulling in the right direction together, and long may it continue."
