Geoff Eltringham will referee Saturday's Sky Bet Championship opener between West Bromwich Albion and Bolton at The Hawthorns.

Wanderers go into the game on the back of a 2-0 victory at Peterborough United in their final pre-season friendly of the summer last Saturday, while Albion were 5-2 winners at home to Coventry City on the same afternoon.

Eltringham, who will take charge of the game, officiated 35 matches last season - issuing 129 yellow cards and three red.

His most recent competitive outing was on April 28, when he was the man in the middle for Barnet's 1-0 victory over Morecambe at the Globe Arena. The County Durham official produced two yellow cards that afternoon, with each side receiving one apiece.

Eltringham's last match in charge of Bolton was on March 30, when they were beaten 2-1 by Leeds United in a Championship clash at Elland Road. Four cautions were issued that afternoon, with Derik Osede and Aaron Wilbraham amongst the recipients.

He has never previously refereed a West Brom fixture.

Below is the full set of officials for Saturday's game between West Bromwich Albion and Bolton:
