Bolton have announced the signing of forward Josh Magennis, who arrives from Charlton Athletic for an undisclosed fee reported to be in the region of £200,000.
Magennis, who has been capped 38 times by Northern Ireland, has signed a two-year deal with Wanderers and arrives at the club on the same day as former Nottingham Forest defender Jack Hobbs.
The 27-year-old lists Cardiff City, Aberdeen and Kilmarnock amongst his former clubs, returns to Championship football for the first time in eight years and he believes the move was one he couldn't afford to pass on.
"It's a massive move for myself and when I found out about the club's initial interest, I was itching to get here," Magennis told bwfc.co.uk.
"I'm absolutely delighted to be a Bolton Wanderers player though and hopefully we can make this season a successful one."
In addition, Wanderers boss Phil Parkinson said: "I've been looking to add to our strike force and I'm delighted to have brought in Josh.
"He's got a real desire and hunger, and I'm looking forward to working with him."
The deal is of major significance to Bolton, whose last known cash purchase was in February 2015 - when they spent a reported £35,000 to sign Filip Twardzik from Celtic.
