Charlton Athletic have accepted an offer from Bolton, reported to be in the region of £350,000, for Josh Magennis.
Magennis, who scored 10 goals for the Addicks last season, recently entered the final year of his contract at The Valley and is understood to be keen on a return to Championship football for the first time in nine seasons, when he turned professional at Cardiff City.
Initially enrolled as a youth team goalkeeper, Magennis was converted into a forward at the age of 17 and was handed a first professional deal by the Bluebirds in April 2009.
He suffered a broken leg on his first senior start for the Welsh side, before being released at the end of the campaign having made just 10 appearances in all competitions.
Magennis got his career back on track in Scotland, playing more than 100 times during a four-year stint at Aberdeen, before a successful two-year spell at Kilmarnock earned him a transfer to Charlton.
The 27-year-old scored 20 goals in 88 games across the past two seasons but looks set to call time on his days in the capital, with a switch to Wanderers looming just one week ahead of the new Championship campaign.
