Agent Plays Down Bolton's Chung-Yong Link

Lee Anderson, the son of Bolton chairman Ken, has rejected speculation linking the club with a move for Lee Chung-Yong.

Chung-Yong, who left Wanderers in a reported £500,000 transfer to Crystal Palace in February 2015, had looked set to return to Macron Stadium in the January transfer window, only for a build up injuries at Selhurst Park to force manager Roy Hodgson into pulling the plug on any deal.

The 30-year-old left Palace when his contract expired in June and remains available as a free agent, but Anderson, who works as an agent, says the player, who was left out of South Korea's World Cup squad, would be ineligible for a work permit.

"He doesn't qualify for a work permit. He was agreed in January but Crystal Palace kept him as cover," Anderson posted on Twitter.

"He didn't make (the) international side (so) now doesn't qualify."
