Crawley Town have completed the signing of Filipe Morais, who had been available as a free agent following his release by Bolton.

Morais has signed a three-year deal with the Reds, who finished 14th in League Two last season under the stewardship of former Leeds United midfielder Harry Kewell.

The 32-year-old made 56 appearances during his time with Wanderers, scoring three goals, but was held in high regard amongst supporters for his set-piece deliveries that went a long way towards securing promotion out of League One in the second half of the 2016/17 campaign.

Morais, who saw talks over a new contract at Bolton collapse in June, has never previously played in the fourth tier but he admits to being 'excited' about the challenge ahead.

Commenting on his official Twitter page, Morais said: "Very happy and excited to have signed a 3 year deal with @crawleytown. Looking forward to creating some more special moments in my career, and I can't wait to get started."
