Ken Anderson will meet with the Professional Footballers' Association next week, in an attempt to resolve the ongoing pay dispute at Bolton Wanderers.

With a number of wages and bonuses for the month of June still outstanding, players opted to strike last Friday and caused their pre-season friendly at St Mirren to be called off.

The Wanderers chairman admitted to feeling 'blackmailed and threatened' over the ordeal and reversed previous assurances that payroll would be completed, leading to a meeting with the PFA where players and members of the coaching staff are expected to be present.

Posting at bwfc.co.uk, Anderson said: "I know I said I wouldn't be making a comment on this matter, but in a bid to quell the speculation in the media and social media, I would like let you all know that I have a meeting with the PFA scheduled for next week."
