Reports on Sunday suggest Ipswich Town have declared an interest in signing Bolton's wantaway goalkeeper Ben Amos.

Amos, who has spent the past two seasons on loan at Cardiff City and Charlton Athletic, respectively, hasn't played for Wanderers since August 2016 and is currently at the centre of major speculation after he went without a wage for the month of June.

His situation, along with that of a number of former players owed bonus payments, prompted Trotters players to strike on Friday, less than 24 hours before they were due to face St Mirren in their first pre-season friendly of the summer.

Amos has 12 months remaining on his contract with Bolton and is understood to be actively seeking alternative employment, with Millwall and former loan club Charlton also said to be keen.
