Reports on Sunday suggest Bolton have set their sights on the signing of Bradford City forward Charlie Wyke.

Wyke, who joined the Bantams in a £250,000 move from Carlisle United in January 2017, scored 16 goals last season as City finished 11th in League One.

In total, he has found the net 23 times in 62 outings for the club and is said to be available for a fee in the region of £1million.

More than three years have passed since Wanderers shelled out a transfer fee, with Filip Twardzik's arrival from Celtic in February 2015 costing a mere £75,000.

Elsewhere, the Trotters have been linked with midfielder Hope Akpan, who is available as a free agent after leaving Burton Albion following their relegation from the Championship.
