Bolton have completed the free signing of Erhun Oztumer on a two-year deal, following his release by Walsall.

The 27-year-old becomes Wanderers' second new recruit of the summer, following Ryan Lowe, after two hugely successful years at the Banks's Stadium in which he scored 32 goals in 95 appearances - including 17 strikes last season.

Oztumer was named in the League One Team of the Year during both of his campaigns with the Saddlers, but believes the time was right to progress in his career by making the step up a division with the Trotters.

"I'm thrilled to put pen to paper and I just can't wait to get started now," Oztumer told bwfc.co.uk.

"I am excited to test myself in the Sky Bet Championship with some great players and I'll be looking to show the Bolton faithful exactly what I am capable of.

"I had a chat with the manager and I really felt as though it was the right move for me. He told me all the things that I wanted to hear and that’s why I'm here today as a Bolton Wanderers player."

In addition, Wanderers boss Phil Parkinson said: "We're really pleased with the signing of Erhun.

"He has been one of the most productive players in Sky Bet League One over the past few seasons for a team in and around the bottom half of the table and we're very much looking forward to working with him over the next couple of years."
