Former Bolton loanee Jon Flanagan will become a free agent when his contract at Liverpool comes to an end on June 30.

Flanagan, who spent the second half of last season on loan with Wanderers, progressed through the youth system at Anfield and made his senior debut in a Premier League clash with Manchester City in April 2011.

The 25-year-old would go on to represent his hometown team on 51 occasions, scoring once, although his last league outing for Jurgen Klopp's side came in a 1-1 draw at West Bromwich Albion in May 2016.

Capped once by England, Flanagan made just 10 appearances during a season-long loan at Burnley in 2016/17.

His final game for Liverpool arrived in a 2-0 Carabao Cup defeat at Leicester City in September 2017, before he went on to feature nine times for Bolton during a brief stint at Macron Stadium.

After his below-par time with the Championship club, Flanagan has been told his services will no longer be required at Liverpool and he will be released at the end of his contract.
