Bolton have more than 20 players due to fall out of contract at the end of June, but Mark Beevers is hopeful his future remains at the club.

Since joining Wanderers on a free transfer from Millwall in July 2016, Beevers has racked up 98 appearances and featured 47 times this season as they retained their Championship status on the final day of the campaign.

The 28-year-old, who has attracted criticism following inconsistent performances in recent months, is hoping to discuss terms on a new deal in the coming weeks, however, admitting he would like to see his long-term future tied to Macron Stadium.

"I want to stay at Bolton because I love it here," Beevers told The Bolton News.

"It's perfect for me. I enjoy my football, the lads, the management staff and it's a fantastic club.

"I'd want to stay for the foreseeable future, there is nothing more certain. But having said that I would like to get off to a better start!"
