Robert Jones will referee Saturday's Sky Bet Championship fixture between Bolton and Aston Villa at Macron Stadium.

Wanderers go into the game on the back of a 1-1 draw at Sheffield Wednesday last Saturday, while Villa were beaten 3-1 at home by Queens Park Rangers on Tuesday evening.

Jones, who will take charge of the game, has officiated 36 matches so far this season - issuing 102 yellow cards and eight red.

His most recent outing was on March 13, when he was the man in the middle for Wolverhampton Wanderers' 3-0 victory over Reading at Molineux. The Merseyside official produced three yellow cards in that game, two of which went to the losing team.

Jones' last match in charge of Bolton was on February 10, when they were held to a 1-1 draw by Fulham in a Championship clash at Macron Stadium. Three cautions were issued that afternoon, with Mark Little and Karl Henry amongst the recipients.

The last time he refereed a Villa fixture was on January 6, as they were beaten 3-1 by Peterborough United in an FA Cup third-round tie at Villa Park. One player entered the referee's book that afternoon - Posh midfielder Leonardo Da Silva Lopes.
