James Linington will referee Tuesday's Sky Bet Championship fixture between Reading and Bolton at the Madejski Stadium.
Wanderers go into the game on the back of a 3-1 defeat at home to Preston North End on Saturday, while the Royals were beaten by the same scoreline by Sheffield United the previous Tuesday.
Linington, who will take charge of the game, has officiated 32 matches so far this season - issuing 105 yellow cards and five red.
His most recent outing was on February 21, when he was the man in the middle for Wolverhampton Wanderers' 2-2 draw with Norwich City in the Championship. The Newport official produced three yellow cards at Molineux, all of which went to members of the home side.
Linington's last match in charge of Bolton was in October 2017, when they were held to a 1-1 draw by Queens Park Rangers in a Championship clash at Macron Stadium. No cautions were issued on that occasion.
The last time he refereed a Reading fixture was on January 2, as they were beaten 2-0 by Birmingham City in a Championship encounter at the Madejski Stadium. One player entered the referee's book that evening - Royals midfielder John Swift.
