Phil Parkinson had praise for his Bolton side, after they came from behind to claim a 1-1 draw with Fulham at Macron Stadium.

Wanderers fell behind to a 4th-minute header from Matt Targett, but took a point after conceding the opening goal for only the second time this season as Adam Le Fondre came off the bench to equalise shortly after the hour.

Speaking after the game, Parkinson admitted his team didn't start well enough but praised their desire to get themselves on level terms against a team fighting for promotion to the Premier League.

"Both teams had moments where they could have won it," Parkinson told BBC Radio Manchester.

"My only compaint is the first 10-15 minutes. We started slow and were the masters of our own downfall with some sloppy passes, but after that I thought we were great.

"We conceded a goal but we got through that period and started to play with more belief.

"I said to the lads at half-time that Fulham were a good team but lets not give them too much respect.

"We've got a good home record. Take out the first 11 games of the season and we'd be up and around mid-table.

"I felt as the game wore on we got more and more belief and it's a good point for us. We'd have loved to have got all three but against an excellent side it's a good point."
