Phil Parkinson has revealed Darren Pratley will undergo a scan on Tuesday, after the Bolton captain injured his ankle in their New Year's Day victory over Hull City.
Pratley, who didn't feature between August and March of last season because of a broken leg and ankle ligament damage, left Macron Stadium wearing a protective boot amid concerns he may have suffered a recurrence of the problem.
The Wanderers boss was more upbeat on the fitness of Karl Henry, however, who was replaced just 13 minutes into the clash against the Tigers with a hamstring concern.
"Karl's hamstring tightened up but I don't think that's too serious," Parkinson told BBC Radio Manchester.
"Daz is more of a concern because it's his ankle, which he damaged last season.
"We'll get that scanned and we'll just have to keep our fingers crossed."
