Bolton goalkeeper Jake Turner has joined non-league side Stalybridge Celtic on a one-month loan deal.

Turner, who has been an unused substitute on 27 different occasions for Wanderers, has yet to make his senior debut at Macron Stadium but is highly rated and regarded as a hot prospect for the future, having represented England at multiple youth levels.

The 18-year-old had been linked with a move to Manchester United during the summer transfer window, but will now line-up for the EVO-STIK Premier Division strugglers on a deal which will run through until January 4, 2018.

Turner had been due to make his Stalybridge debut in Saturday's game against Warrington, only for it to fall victim to inclement weather conditions.
