Oliver Langford will referee Saturday's Sky Bet Championship fixture between Bolton and Barnsley at Macron Stadium.

Bolton go into the game on the back of a 5-1 defeat at Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday, while the Tykes were beaten 2-0 at home by Leeds United the same afternoon.

Langford, who will take charge of the game, has officiated 19 matches so far this season - issuing 52 yellow cards and two red.

His most recent outing was on November 25, when he was the man in the middle for Fleetwood Town's goalless draw with Blackpool in League One. The West Midlands official produced one yellow card in that game, which went to Town defender Cian Bolger.

Langford's last match in charge of Bolton was on August 25, when they were beaten 4-0 by Hull City in a Championship clash at the KCOM Stadium. Two cautions were issued that afternoon - one of which went to Wanderers substitute Derik Osede.

The last time he refereed a Barnsley fixture was on September 30, as they ran out 3-1 winners over Millwall in a Championship encounter at The Den. Five players entered the book that day, including the visiting trio of Jason McCarthy, Matthew Pearson and Cameron McGeehan.
