David Coote to Referee Bolton v Sheffield Wednesday

David Coote will referee Saturday's Sky Bet Championship fixture between Bolton and Sheffield Wednesday at Macron Stadium.

Wanderers go into the game on the back of a 1-0 defeat at Aston Villa prior to the international break, while Wednesday were 3-0 winners at home to Leeds United in their last outing.

Coote, who will take charge of the game, has officiated four matches so far this season - issuing 13 yellow cards and no red.

His most recent outing was on October 7, when he was the man in the middle for Rotherham United's 1-0 victory at Rochdale in League One. The Nottinghamshire official produced six yellow cards in that game, four of which went to the home side.

Coote's last match in charge of Bolton was on February 4, when they held Milton Keynes Dons to a 1-1 draw in a League One clash at Stadium mk. Five cautions were issued that afternoon, three of which went to visiting Wanderers players.

The last time he refereed an Owls fixture was on April 14, as they ran out 1-0 winners over Cardiff City in a Championship meeting at Hillsborough. One player entered the book that day - Bluebirds midfielder Junior Hoilett.
