Bolton have completed the signing of Craig Noone on a free transfer from Cardiff City, after he reached an agreement to terminate his contract with the Welsh club.

Noone, who had spent five years with the Bluebirds, had initially been linked with a loan move to Wanderers, but a change in circumstances on deadline day saw the deal switch to a permanent arrangement - which has now been concluded on two-year terms, subject to international clearance.

After working his way through the youth system at Skelmersdale United, Noone went on to represent both Burscough and Southport before making his way into league football with Plymouth Argyle in 2008.

A move to Brighton & Hove Albion followed two years later, where he spent just 18 months before completing a £1million switch to the Cardiff City Stadium in August 2012.

In total, Noone made 170 appearances for Cardiff - who currently stand top of the Championship. He scored 19 goals during his time at the club, including one in both meetings against Bolton in the 2012/13 campaign.

Speaking to about the next step in his career, Noone said: "I am delighted to get it all sorted and I cannot wait to play for Bolton Wanderers.

"There had been some interest from other clubs, but Bolton was always my first choice.

"They are a massive club and I am looking forward to getting going."
