Bolton have made an approach to Swansea City over a potential loan deal for midfielder Jay Fulton.

Fulton, son of former Wanderers midfielder Steve Fulton, who made seven appearances in the 1993/94 campaign, was born in the town but has represented Scotland at youth level.

Having progressed through the youth system at Falkirk, the 23-year-old joined the Swans for an undisclosed fee on the final day of the January 2014 transfer window and remains contracted to the Premier League side until the end of the current season.

In total, Fulton has made 24 appearances for the Welsh outfit, scoring once, with two of those outings coming in the early stages of the present campaign.
