Despite continued struggles against a transfer embargo, Bolton will look to add to their squad before Thursday's deadline - with Cardiff City's Craig Noone a reported target.

Having operated under an embargo since December 2015, working under a squad size of 23 and with new signings restricted to wages at a maximum of £4,500-per-week, Wanderers hope to manoeuvre those numbers in the final hours of the window.

With interest beginning to mount for out-of-favour Chris Taylor, Trotters boss Phil Parkinson could make his move for Noone, who has made 170 appearances during a five-year spell at Cardiff but has yet to feature this season as Neil Warnock's side lead the way at the top of the Championship table.

Since joining the Bluebirds in a £1million move from Brighton & Hove Albion in August 2012, Noone has found the net on 19 occasions - including goals in both league meetings against Bolton in the 2012/13 campaign.
