David Webb will referee Tuesday's Carabao Cup second-round tie between Bolton and Sheffield Wednesday at Macron Stadium.

Wanderers go into the game on the back of a 2-1 defeat at home to Derby County on Saturday, while Wednesday were 1-0 winners at Fulham on the same afternoon - both of which were in the Championship.

Webb, who will take charge of the game, has officiated four matches so far this season - issuing 13 yellow cards and no red.

His most recent outing was on August 19, when he was the man in the middle for Forest Green Rovers' 4-3 victory over Yeovil Town in League Two. The Lancashire official produced three yellow cards in that game, two of which went to players on the home side.

Webb's last match in charge of Bolton was in April 2017, when they were beaten 1-0 by Scunthorpe United in a League One clash at Glanford Park. Three cautions were issued that afternoon, one of which went to Wanderers midfielder Josh Vela.

The last time he refereed a Wednesday fixture was in April 2016, as they ran out 2-1 winners over Blackburn Rovers in a Championship game at Hillsborough. One player entered the book that evening, while Rovers' goalscorer Craig Conway was also shown a straight red card.

Below is the full set of officials for Tuesday's game between Bolton and Sheffield Wednesday:
