Wigan Athletic have confirmed Andrew Taylor will become a free agent when his contract comes to an end on June 30, 2017.
Taylor, who spent the season on loan at Bolton, joined Latics on a free transfer from Cardiff City in June 2014 but made just 27 appearances - the last of which came in a 3-0 defeat at home to Charlton Athletic in February 2015.
After falling out of favour at the DW Stadium, Taylor spent the 2015/16 campaign on loan at Reading, where he featured 23 times in all competitions, before spending the final year of his contract at neighbours Bolton, for whom he made 40 appearances as Phil Parkinson's side secured promotion to the Championship.
The 30-year-old is expected to be high on the list of summer recruits for Wanderers, with Dean Moxey likely to depart when his contract expires, and news of Taylor's impending release could prompt Parkinson into making his move.
Taylor is one of four first-team players set to depart Wigan next month, two of whom - Jussi Jaaskelainen and Stephen Warnock - also represented Bolton earlier in their respective careers.
