David Webb will referee Boxing Day's League One fixture between Bolton and Shrewsbury Town at Macron Stadium.
Wanderers go into the game on the back of a 1-0 defeat at Chesterfield last Saturday, while Salop were 2-0 winners at home to Bristol Rovers on the same afternoon.
Webb, who will take charge of the game, has officiated 23 matches so far this season - issuing 61 yellow cards and one red.
His most recent outing was on December 15, when he was the man in the middle for Sheffield United's 2-1 victory at Coventry City in League One. The Lancashire official produced two yellow cards in that game, both of which went to players on the home side.
Webb's last match in charge of Bolton was on August 30, when they were beaten 2-0 by Everton U23 in their opening group tie of the Checkatrade Trophy. No cautions were issued on that occasion, as Webb opted to keep his cards in his pocket.
The last time he refereed a Shrewsbury fixture was on October 18, as they were beaten 3-0 by Sheffield United at Greenhous Meadow. Four players entered the book that evening, three of whom were in the Town side.
