Bolton legend Kevin Davies has opened the door for a return to football, after receiving his UEFA A Licence coaching badges.

Davies, who made 407 appearances for Wanderers between 2003 and 2013, retired from the game in September 2015 after failing to agree terms on a new contract at Preston North End.

Once capped by England, Davies has since become a regular pundit and co-commentator for both BBC local radio and BT Sport, whilst also taking up a Master of Sport Directorship at Manchester Metropolitan University.

The 39-year-old is now eligible to become head coach at a European professional club up to and including the second tier, youths up to the age of 18 and development squad teams of top-flight clubs.
