Bolton have paid their players for the month of November, despite waking to news that funds had not landed in their bank accounts.
Wanderers chairman Ken Anderson, who is seeking sole ownership of the club after discussions with co-owner Dean Holdsworth, is understood to have settled the outstanding salary payments personally.
Anderson revealed on Monday that the Trotters would enter administration by the end of the year under their current regime. However, a deal is said to have been agreed in principle that would see him take complete control and allow the club to continue operations.
Non-playing staff at Macron Stadium and other bases were paid as normal earlier in the month.
