Bolton will look to get back to winning ways on Sunday, when they hit the television screens away at Peterborough United.

Following a remarkable run of seven wins in succession, Wanderers were finally beaten in the Checkatrade Trophy at Cheltenham Town on Tuesday. Phil Parkinson, however, will be looking to guide his side to a sixth-straight league win for the first time since September 2000, showing why he was presented with the League One Manager of the Month award for October.

He looks set to be boosted by the return of several key players for the trip to the ABAX Stadium, with both Josh Vela and Max Clayton available for selection.

Vela missed last weekend's FA Cup victory over Grimsby Town but returned to the team in midweek, while Clayton came off the bench at the LCI Rail Stadium for his first competitive appearance in 12 months.

Mark Howard is expected to recover from a dead leg to regain his place in goal, with Ben Alnwick set to drop down to the substitutes' bench with both Jake Turner and William Jaaskelainen away on international duty.

Derik Osede, Mark Beevers and Gary Madine continue to be assessed for minor knocks but should fall into contention, while Tom Thorpe could return ahead of schedule after missing the last four matches with an ankle problem.

The game will come too soon for Jay Spearing, who remains out with a torn groin, while Darren Pratley (broken leg) and Mark Davies (knee) remain out for the long-term.

Peterborough boss Grant McCann could hand a 200th Posh outing to Michael Bostwick for the visit of Wanderers, while Gwion Edwards looks set to be recalled after coming off the bench during their FA Cup first-round win at Chesham.

There are no fresh injury or suspensions for the hosts, who remain without long-term casualty Jermaine Anderson, who is recovering from surgery to repair a turn anterior cruciate ligament.
